Replacing Psychology with Spirituality
Today we look to the horizon, dear beloved of God, where the old tools of discourse holding us over have been abandoned for the renewed instruments of spiritual engagement. Modern psychology, though often praised as a science, is, in its current shape, but a mere shadow cast by the light of the greater divine wisdom; a diversion from the deeper truths that are beyond the realm of mere material or mortally-objective analysis. Psychology in modern guise, like neurology, seeks to dissect the mind like some surgeon cuts through the flesh, yet it fails to grasp the soul, it’s very namesake. It is blind to the ‘PSYCHE’ it claims to appreciate and even, Lord help us, to study. Psychology has been absolved of any pretence to Psyche, a more apt metaphor than this for the modern age could not be found. The spiritually-dead scientism does not see the invisible hand of God shaping every thought and desire. Blind. The answer is not in the hollow statistics of endless ‘studies’ but in the sacred spaces where discourse, prayer, and spiritual community converge as a natural framework for human flourishing. It is atop this that we will found a greater and better psychology.
Better Psychology
Antiquity did not have all the answers, as we are all imperfect humans but it did have a few, the most important in the opinion of many. Spiritual assembly of community is an evolution of the spirit which will never cease, so we require reclamation of more in the best traditions that have always guided us toward Truth. The soldier in Christ, firmly planted within community, becomes an instrument of the unshakeable foundation in divine order. The soul, once tortured by the monied noise of corporate scientism, finds its voice again in the sacred language of Truth, a language that transcends the limits of psychological analysis and speaks directly to the heart. Psychology will be the first, but the rest of the sciences are to be targeted next.
Development Versus Envelopment
The role of spiritual development in resisting “technological governance” is paramount; for as we stand at the precipice of transhumanism, the temptation to surrender to machines will grow stronger and stronger. The soldier knows that no algorithm can replace the divine wisdom of the Holy Spirit, nor can any dataset capture the depths of human soul, as an element of that Spirit, shaped by love. The answer is in cultivating community rooted in the natural frameworks of human societies, where discourse is a sacred act of alignment with the universal order, not in earthly authority which is temporary and based in the material. To reject where modern psychology has led, is reclaiming destiny and our very basis for epistemology, how we decide how we can determine what is true. The question is: can Truth be reliably discerned at all outside of Jesus? The answer for every Christian is quite clear.
Marching Orders
In this new age, the soldier’s duty is clear: to replace the sterile mechanisms of modern thought with the living traditions of spiritual engagement. The virtues of Willpower, Courage, and Loyalty are not merely abstract ideals, they are the very tools by which we will navigate the chaos of relativism and information overload, which has plagued humanity and modern scientisms unable to find focus for the revelations in material knowledge. Confusion abounds. Through the discipline of discourse, we make every word spoken an act of faith and every silence a moment for prayer. This is the future of spiritual warfare: not fought with swords or bombs, but with words, wisdom, and Truth; guided by divine love.
Beloved, the coming battles are not against technology in itself, but against the spiritual decay that has allowed irresponsible concepts regarding technology and the nature of humanity to rise unchecked. A technology which is too much of a crutch will disable us. The solution is in rekindling the flame that burns brighter than any machine can ever replicate.
