Man is the image of God, most of all internally reflective. The giving of the Son is mirrored in man’s internal reflection upon past deeds, the product of sins being the prodigal necessity (everyone is prodigal, “baptised” in the material from birth) in finding purpose through the reconsideration of errors by seeking repentance, leading ultimately to the repudiation of the lower self as well as its products (product of the sinful self being materialist selfness, the personality) and its crucifixion. We crucify the lower self so as not to replicate the crucifixion of our Lord, that is to say the materialist-self murder of our highest spiritual potential as modelled after the Lord, the form of man most perfected; Son of Adam, Son of God.
