Transformation Begins Within
So spiritual transformation is to find focus in spirit, acquire a peaceful spirit internally, and, eventually, attain to spiritual warfare. This is absolute progression that mirrors the structure of creation itself. There is the act of choosing to align oneself with higher truths rather than the distractions of the world. There is the fruit of this focus in peace, a state of inner stillness that allows us to contemplate the divine design with the honesty necessary to persevere. The next stage in spiritual warfare is the culmination of this journey, the act of defending what is true in a world that often seeks to corrupt truth.
This process reflects the structural virtues theory (SVT). Each virtue builds upon the previous virtues, creating a foundation of strength that permits focus, peace, and then confrontation focused in the peace ordained by God. And just like SVT itself, the path from focus to peace to warfare is not linear but cyclical. The more we cultivate inner stillness (honesty), the more we become capable (perseverance) of engaging in spiritual warfare (analysis). The more we wage war against falsehoods, the more we are reminded of the need for bedrock-like inner peace. This is the divine dance of creation: a rhythm of stillness and motion, of inward reflection and spirit-guided action.

SVT, as part of Resurrexit Spiritus, moves us toward elevational motivation; each grasp lifting us higher in our climb. KRATOS (rejections and acceptances), TELOS (balance between product and craft), EROS (relationships), and LOGOS (reflections in power and mastery). In the domain of KRATOS, we first confront the rules that define our existence, the act of finding focus in spirit is essential to this. It is here that we must choose to reject the noise of the world and embrace clarity in purpose. This is the first step in building a foundation for spiritual growth.
In the domain of TELOS, where we balance the product and craft in all labours, the acquisition of inner peace becomes paramount. It is here that we must recognise that true mastery lies not in material achievements but in the cultivation of harmony within and virtues. Ultimately, this is the stage where our labours in thoughts and actions are tested against alignment to higher truth.
In the domain of EROS, where we choose what is most important in relationships and this process reshape our lives, so that spiritual warfare is realised as necessary. It is here that we must choose to defend the sacred against those who seek to diminish it. This is moral conviction, the ability to stand firm even as the world around us falls apart.
Finally, in the domain of LOGOS, where power and mastery are realised, the culmination of this journey becomes evident. Those who have attained to this spiritual warfare become lights upon an extinguishing world. They become testaments to the divine order, living proof that humanity is capable of rising above its own limitations. They recognise that our call is not to mortally impossible perfection, but to perseverance.
To find focus in spirit is to embrace the magnanimity of our purpose. To acquire inner peace is to temper our desires with the wisdom of honour, temperance, and loyalty, through which we find excellence, patience, and conservation. To attain spiritual warfare is to stand for what is true against a world that most often seeks to minimise it in cascades of sin. We do this best with prudence, ethics, justice, courage, and willpower founded in the highest Will, that of God.
In the end, the greatest act of salvation is the destruction of evil within and the cultivation of goodness. This process opens us to God and His plans. So the true essence of spiritual transformation is in living with purpose, dwelling in peace, and waging war on falsehood, not for our glory, but because these are things we were created for: God’s glory.
