Virtues as Triple Helix Formation part 5: Triunal Reason

In all human abilities, Reason stands as maestro, conducting three threading aspects: Honesty, Analysis, and Perseverance. These are dynamic facets that intertwine to form a helix, each strand essential for the stability of the whole.

Honesty, as the aspect underlying the virtues discussed thus far, is the bedrock of the system, the first light in the dawn of virtues, enabling the rest and growth itself. It is the unyielding commitment to truth, both external and internal. This is not merely about admitting facts, but about embracing reality as it is, rather than as we wish it to be. Honesty is the foundation upon which the edifice of virtues is built.

Analysis, the second strand, is the scalpel that dissects complexity, revealing hidden patterns and structures. It is the relentless pursuit of understanding, the insatiable curiosity that propels us to question, explore, and comprehend. Analysis transforms raw data into meaningful insights, fueling the engine of progress.

Perseverance, the third yet non-finalising strand, is the enduring resolve that sustains us through trials and tribulations. It is the quiet determination that refuses to yield, even when confronted by insurmountable odds. Perseverance is the scaffolding that supports our ascent towards attaining to ever greater excellence.

Reason activates these aspects into virtues through the four moments as: Awareness, Propriety, Morality, Spirit; undergirding Magnanimity, Temperance, Honour, and Loyalty, respectively. This triune structure of virtues is not anything like linear process but a dynamic interplay, each moment influencing and reinforcing the others, with mastery only coming through full coordination of all aspects and all moments through every virtue.

Honesty begets Analysis; Analysis, honed by Perseverance, refines Honesty. This follows for all the virtues with each having specifics but relating much the same as above as parcels. This helix of Reason spirals upwards, propelling us toward ever higher levels of wisdom beyond mortal ability alone.
