Lord, our God, ever guide us to your light, and make it bright so we may see it in our blindness, as despite. See us through the darkness and into your loving radiance. May we ever do right by your will, which is the greatest good. Attach us to your truth, oh Lord, that we may detach from the lies of the world. Amen.
Gracious Eternal
I talk a lot about error here at virtues.blog, but in every mistake, there is a lesson and redemption gets you there, most logically, reasonably, and with appropriate humility. Failure is only made good as fuel for redemption, prayer, and beneficial discourse. I also talk of magnanimity a whole lot as well, “being the bigger person” and willing to forgive, which is our condition reflecting the most eternally Gracious. Error becomes an unconquerable antagonist to our lives without all this context.
Salvation can be a messy process, and we are limited in so many ways, but such proves our importance to God. Fools in power confirm this all the more, since it was all (including the instability of earthly powers) designed to point us back to our origins. Humility worn by the human is a wellspring of wisdom as most appropriate, and that’s the thing. In constant prayer, recognition, reflection, and forgiveness, we find not only stability, but also the strength and patience to pursue escalating excellence, and those virtues beyond: conservation, prudence, ethics, justice, courage, and willpower.
