Divine Love in Everything

The only absolute that can truly satisfy the human soul is God’s Love. For what is an absolute if not something that remains unchanged? Even in the face of all uncertainty. Relativism and subjectivity are the rule of the day, yet truths transcend our own desires, fears, and short lives. The order of the universe is testament to divine design. The laws of physics and structure of the universe are expressions of God’s will, reflections of His love for creation. We are often led to doubt this, but for the same reasons we are demoralised in a thousand other directions at the same time. Science is separate from faith so of course we fail to see the divine hand at work in even the most basic principles of nature. Of course, we fail at basic bias toward life, which all people should have.

The best evidence for God’s love is not found in dogma or doctrine, but in everything. The fact that all holds in place, order remains, and emergence of intelligent life capable of beholding creation, life, intelligence, and all its majesty. These are clear signs of divine purpose. We often ignore these in illogical depths of pretentious cynicism. Healthy scepticism is necessary for arriving at the actual truth, yet we risk forgetting what makes noumenal truths even possible: the unchanging love of God.

There is nothing random in your life nor in this world, it was all caused by something before it. Immortal laws invisible to us govern nature and life. We are in a place filled to brimming with meaning, yet wonder still. We are in a penthouse of sublime design where many choose to lock themselves up. The absolutes withstand the weight of scepticism, and none more so than divine grace. Even as we question the nature of reality, we are still bound by the laws life energy and physics, the structure of the universe, and the unchanging will of God. In this order, we find the warmth impossible from our own ideations. The alternative is cycles of relativism and performative cynicism.
